Aurevoir Clothing was born from a moment of frustration and resilience. Founders Hardeep and Mo were sitting outside a coffee shop, reflecting on a rejected opportunity. While the disappointment lingered, an unspoken realization surfaced, they didn’t need someone else’s permission to build something extraordinary. That’s when the idea struck... to create a clothing brand that didn’t just reflect style, but also embodied a powerful message.
Aurevoir means “goodbye” in French, and for us, it symbolizes saying goodbye to stereotypes and limitations. We’re not defined by the opinions of others or the circumstances we’re born into. Instead, we rise above them, embracing our individuality and breaking free from the labels that society tries to impose.
Our journey is deeply personal. Hardeep, raised by a single mother who was a migrant to the UK, knows firsthand the stigmas that come with humble beginnings. Despite the challenges, she refused to let labels dictate her story. Mo’s journey began in Iraq, where his family fled war when he was just seven years old. Starting over in a new country, he faced the same stereotypes and doubts about what he could achieve.
These experiences shaped us, but they didn’t define us. They fuelled our determination to build something that stands for empowerment and potential. Aurevoir is more than just a brand, it’s a movement for those who refuse to be boxed in by preconceived notions.
